MOCK SALMON PATE


About a year ago, I had a mock salmon test kitchen. I tried a handful of different recipes and took the best of all of them to make this one. It's delicious, filling and packed with nutrients. I have a hard time planning what I will eat the next day, but this recipe is much better if the almonds are soaked overnight. Spoon the pate onto crackers or cucumbers, on top of salad or in a sandwich. Super versatile. Let me know your ideas!

​ingredients 1tsp salt 1/2 tsp kelp powder 2tsp dulse flakes 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/8c nutritional yeast 1 heaping tsp miso paste 1tsp soy sauce 1tbs lemon juice 1tbs water 1/2c chopped sweet red pepper 1c chopped celery 1/2c chopped red onion or shallot 2 med-large carrots 2c soaked almonds (overnight) ​directions 1) soak 1 3/4 cups of almonds over night. keep refrigerated 2) put all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth 3) eat on crackers, cucumber slices, over salad etc.
